Join us for a light meal and spend time asking your table host about their home education journey.

Soup and Bread served as an early tea at about 4:30 pm (or as soon as we are able to rearrange the sanctuary and small hall). Each table will have at least 1 person who is a home education veteran parent, graduate (or both) ready to share their home education story and answer your questions.

Saturday | 13-April-2024 | 10 am -3 pm, 4:30-6 pm

If you are unable to attend in person, audio recordings, slide decks, and additional information from the conference will be available to you after the conference is over.

Please book in and indicate on the registration form that you would like the conference recordings and materials emailed to you after it is over.

Parking is limited in the church car park. Please do not park in the apartment complex or the Morrison’s Express convenience store. However, there is street parking available on Stenhouse Rd. & Carrongrove Rd.

Doors open at 9:30 am.

The conference runs from 10 am to 3 pm.  Tea & Coffee provided. Please bring a picnic lunch.

Soup & Stories will be from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.

Seating is limited.

Conference tickets are £7. Nursing infants free. Soup & Stories early tea will be an additional £3 per person.

Due to limited space, there is only a creche room available for nursing children. You are responsible for tending to your own children (or bringing someone to care for your creche-age child). There will be audio available in the creche area for Sanctuary sessions only, but all sessions will be recorded.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I can’t attend the home education conference in person. How can I still participate?

Register and receive digital access to session recordings and digital materials.
Register, and pay the registration fee (just £7), and you will receive access to audio file recordings of each session and the digital ‘goodie bag’ of home ed. resources from conference sponsors.

When should I arrive at the Arise Home Education Conference?

Registration opens at 9:30 am
Registration and break-out session confirmation will begin at 9:30 am.  The first session begins at 10 am.

Where should I park?

The Church Carpark has limited parking.
Please do not park in the area for Morrison’s Express or the parking area or the flats next door.  There is street parking available. Please refer to the map in the Venue section above for street parking.

Can I bring my family?

The venue has limited seating.
Due to the limited seating, we are not able to accommodate children this year.  The small creche room is available for nursing babies. If you wish to bring a responsible teen or adult to tend to your child in creche during the session, please let us know when registering.

Should I bring my own lunch?

Yes.
Please bring your own picnic lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided. Additionally, you are invited to join us for Soup & Stories from 4:30- 6 pm. Separate tickets are available here.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Yes.
In order to allow attendees to enjoy each of the sessions, we are planning to have all sessions recorded. These will be made available to those who have registered/attended the conference.
