Navigating Life: Skills for Career Prep Success

A full year, live class focusing on career prep and preparing for life away from home.

At Arise Home Education, we believe that students learn best when their curiosity is encouraged and they have an opportunity for independent, in-depth exploration. To encourage this, students in the ‘Navigating Life: Skills for Success’ course will learn about a variety of skills related to being ready to launch into their future in higher education, vocation, and life in general.  By focusing on career exploration,  basic budgeting, CV & Personal Statement creation, and interviewing skills, your teen will be ready to take on their ambitious dreams for their future with confidence and a plan.

These assignments and live lessons will be on a variety of topics every person needs to understand to successfully transition into the various responsibilities of adulthood.  Students will deep-dive into important life skills elements exploring aspects of particular career paths wich interest them. It’s an opportunity for them to take charge of their learning and showcase their knowledge and creativity while setting a course for successfully navigating their future.

• Day & Time:  Tuesdays 15:30 -17:00 GMT (Two 40-minute sessions with a short break in the middle.)

This course offers an engaging and interactive learning experience, where students not only gain a deeper understanding of what planning for their future is all about, but also develop essential skills in budgeting, research, critical thinking, and public speaking, which result in a mature, confident teen ready to succeed as they launch into the next phase of life.
