Great Expectations Workbook

The Great Expectations workbook is a great resource to guide you through your study of Dickens’ classic. Students will look at the life of Dickens and the historical context of the novel. The workbook includes sections to look at characterisation, the themes of the book, the use of structure and form, and the literary devices and language Dickens uses.

In writing composition, students will look at the fundamentals of punctuation and how a writer uses the different forms of punctuation effectively. Descriptive writing looks at how Dickens uses various techniques to show-not-tell and provides students an opportunity to practise their own piece of descriptive writing.
