In the class, we will complete the Edexcel iGCSE Physics curriculum for year 1 over the course of 30 weeks in our live online sessions. iGCSE Physics Year 2 will cover the remainder of the curriculum.

Day & Time: Tuesdays 12:30-2 pm UK Timezone (Two 40-minute sessions with a short break in between.)

iGCSE Physics Year 1
For Autumn 2026
This iGCSE Physics Year 1 course is taught through live online classes with a tutor with a degree in mathematical physics. The 30-week class consists of one weekly online class along with weekly homework that is graded by the tutor. This course will cover year 1 of the Edexcel iGCSE Physics course.
This course is eligible for USA High School Diploma & Transcript credit. Students successfully completing this course will receive 1 high school Science credit.

The First Year of iGCSE Physics
Over the year, we will cover:
- forces and motion,
- electricity,
- energy resources,
- energy transfer, and
- states of matter.
Crucially, we will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We will learn how to ask questions and find answers. We will also discover together how an understanding of physical principles can be used to serve others and glorify God.
We will also do experiments and hands-on activities that explore these concepts in a way that is accessible for the average home educating family.
Physics explores the fundamental questions of how the world around us works. Newton’s Laws of Motion govern the way things move. Learning these skills is essential for anyone looking to take physics to a higher level, or for those interested in a wide range of engineering, from mechanical to structural.
In our modern world, electricity plays a major role in our lives. From the very practical aspects of how fuses and circuit breakers keep our homes safe, to more complex concepts. A study of electricity will be useful to anyone interested in electronics, electrical engineering, or for young people interested in an apprenticeship to become an electrician.
Energy and energy transfer are increasingly important areas of study in our world. The hunt for new technologies, renewables and solutions to our increasing energy demands makes physics an important subject to study.

High School Physics Live, Online Class
