Intermediate German

This intermediate German course builds on the foundation of the Beginning German course (A1 level) and is designed for students who want to expand their language skills. Students will develop more complex vocabulary, improve grammar, and practice communicating about a wider range of everyday situations. The course also deepens cultural knowledge, helping students understand and participate in the life and traditions of German-speaking countries.
Intermediate German Course Details
Age: 12-16
Day & Time: Mondays 3-4:30 pm UK timezone (Two 40-minute sessions with a short break in the middle.)
Location:Â Zoom Meeting
Tutor: Bella Tanzer
Required Materials: No additional curriculum is required, as the course is based on online resources.
Worksheets and exercises will be provided digitally, so access to a printer is recommended.
Prerequisite:Â Completion of Beginning German (A1) or equivalent knowledge

This intermediate German course builds on the foundation of the Beginning German course (A1 level) and is designed for students who want to expand their language skills. Students will develop more complex vocabulary, improve grammar, and practice communicating about a wider range of everyday situations. The course also deepens cultural knowledge, helping students understand and participate in the life and traditions of German-speaking countries.
This High School German course is an intermediate (KS3/Pre-iGCSE) course for those wanting to consider the iGCSE German Exam in future years. However, it is eligible for 1 high school World Languages credit on a USA Qualifications transcript.

Students completing this course will be ready to progress to higher intermediate levels and
exam level courses, able to communicate confidently in common social and everyday
contexts while enjoying the richness of German culture.

Live courses and homework assignments will include a variety of fun educational resources to reinforce the learning in the weekly live sessions.
Students will also be set weekly work to complete prior to the next class session, and are encouraged to use the things learned each week at home.
