Bible Survey Course Highlights

  • Summarise the overarching storyline of the Bible
  • Identify major covenants, characters, and turning points
  • Understand how everything points to Jesus
  • Read Scripture with greater coherence and confidence

This 30-week course introduces students (ages 11–13) to the grand narrative of the Bible using the framework and resources of Bible Fluency. Rather than approaching Scripture as a collection of disconnected stories, students will learn to see the Bible as one unified account of God’s redemptive work in history.

Over the course of the year, students will trace the storyline of Scripture from Creation to New Creation, touching on each book of the Bible, exploring key covenants, major biblical themes, and the unfolding promise of redemption fulfilled in Christ. Emphasis is placed on understanding the historical context, literary structure, and theological significance of each part of the Bible.

Through songs,  guided reading, discussion, timeline work, and review exercises, students will develop confidence in navigating Scripture, recognizing how the Old and New Testaments fit together, and articulating the central message of the gospel. The course strengthens biblical literacy, theological clarity, and interpretive skills at an age-appropriate level.

This course provides a foundational framework for lifelong engagement with God’s Word, equipping students not only to know biblical stories but to understand the Bible as a unified, redemptive whole.

Bible Survey Topics Include

  •  Creation and Fall
  •  God’s covenant people
  •  Christ and the Kingdom
  • New Creation and Living in Light of God’s Story
