World Geography for Mission-Minded Home Educators

Shannan Swindler

One of the great things about world geography is getting to learn about and talk with people who have explored the many countries we study throughout the year. When we study each continent, we aim to include sessions on pioneering missionaries as well as time to learn from modern-day missionaries. Whilst studying Africa, we will learn about missionary pioneer David Livingstone. And, for our modern-day missionary, we will spend time learning and asking questions with Brian Blackburn from Mercy Ships. Listen in as we learn about world geography for mission-minded home educators.

Brain Blackburn is a long-time friend of Arise Home Education team member, Shannan Swindler. He joins her in the Arise World Geography class to talk with students about his 30 years working with Mercy Ships in Africa. Brian has lived in 13 African nations for over 20 years. He is passionate about all things African and encourages the love of learning wherever he goes. Follow Brian and his family as they continue to minister to people in Africa with Mercy Ships.
