iGCSE Physics Year 2

For Autumn 2025 Enrolment

iGCSE Physics Year 2 is for students who have completed Year 1 of the Edexcel iGCSE Physics course and are ready to build on their knowledge with more advanced topics. Together, we will explore the laws that govern motion, energy, magnetism, and nuclear physics, as well as how these principles shape the universe.

We will cover topics such as kinetic theory, pressure, electromagnetism, nuclear radiation, and the life cycle of stars. Alongside learning key physics concepts, students will develop problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of God’s order in creation.

This iGCSE Physics Year 2 course is taught through live online classes, with a tutor, with a master’s degree in mathematical physics. The 30-week class consists of one weekly online class along with weekly homework that is graded by the tutor. This course will cover year 2 of the Edexcel iGCSE Physics course.

This course is eligible for USA High School Diploma & Transcript credit.  Students successfully completing this course will receive 1 high school Science credit.

iGCSE Physics Year 2 Course Details

In the class, we will complete the Edexcel iGCSE Physics curriculum for year 2 over the course of 30 weeks in our live online sessions.

Day & Time: Tuesdays 11 AM – 12:30 PM GMT (Two 40-minute sessions with a short break in between.)

Location: Zoom Meeting

Tutor: Hannah Smith

Required Materials:

• Edexcel iGCSE Physics course text
• This scientific calculator (or similar)

Prerequisites: Needs to be confident in maths and working at an iGCSE or equivalent level.

The Year 2 of iGCSE Physics

Over the year we will cover:

• kinetic theory,
• pressure,
• electromagnetism,
• nuclear radiation, and
• the life cycle of stars.

Alongside learning key physics concepts, students will develop problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of God’s order in creation.

Crucially, we will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We will learn how to ask questions and find answers. We will also continue our discovery together on how an understanding of physical principles can be used to serve others and glorify God.

Please note if you seek to sit the exam you will need to find and register at an exam centre. 

High School Physics Live, Online Class

In iGCSE Physics, your teen will gain a deeper understanding of the inner workings of creation and an appreciation of the order in the universe. This course will cover year 2 of the Edexcel iGCSE Physics course. It can also be used for the US high school transcript.
