Secondary Home Education | 25-26 Course Options

Arise Home Education course options for secondary-aged home-educated students.

At Arise Home Education, we offer classes for students following the US Qualification (Transcript & Diploma) or the UK Exam Model. If you want to use UK exam-based courses to fulfill your US Qualifications (credits for your transcript) without sitting the UK exams, the following information will help you choose which classes, based on age/year in school, to help you make the best choices for your secondary-aged student.

Remember, ‘Secondary’ includes both middle school and high school in the USA. So, 7th-12th Grades (US), or roughly students aged 11/12 to 17/18.

In the last two years of secondary education, most teens are pretty focused on specific subjects. However, for the US Qualifications model, a broader range of learning is an option. Students can choose:

  • An additional science to do for 1-2 years,
  • An additional year of English Writing & Composition. We recommend Logic & Debate, Speech & Drama, or Biblical Studies. The latter is a great option for those wanting US credit for Biblical Literature and Ancient/Biblical History. Take both years of Biblical Studies for 1 full year credit in each subject area.

Recommended Maths, Language Arts & Social Studies Live Classes

Electives/Enrichment

Recommended Elective/Enrichment Live Courses

Choose two elective or enrichment courses. Try something new or continue with a next level course if you have completed the it or Year 1 levels.

Find Balance in Your Teen’s Academic Schedule with Self-Paced Courses

Not all classes need to be live classes to earn credit/prepare for qualifications. Check out our self-paced classes. They are a perfect option for scheduling conflicts or students who want to go at a slower (or faster) pace than a traditional online class.

Self-paced courses are priced differently. They are not included in the Bundle pricing. If you have questions, please email us atArise@ AriseHomeEducation.com
