We’ve also explored energy flow, food chains, the carbon cycle, and human impacts on ecosystems such as habitat destruction and conservation. In chemistry, we’re now moving on to acids, bases, salts, and the periodic table before starting physics topics later in the year.
  • iGCSE Biology We’ve covered the characteristics and variety of living organisms, levels of organisation, cell structure, biological molecules, and movement of substances. We also studied nutrition, respiration, gas exchange, and transport in both plants and humans. Next, we’ll move on to excretion, coordination and response, and reproduction before finishing with inheritance and revision.
  • iGCSE ChemistryIn IGCSE Chemistry, we’ve completed our first semester covering the states of matter, elements and compounds, atomic structure, the Periodic Table, and different types of bonding. We’re now moving into our second semester, where we’ll explore acids, bases, salts, metal reactivity, and chemical calculations.
  • iGCSE PhysicsIn IGCSE Physics, we’ve covered units, density and pressure, changes of state, the behaviour of gases, and magnetism, including electromagnetism and electromagnetic induction.
